SUMMER KICK-OFF EVENT JUNE 15TH
Join us next month on Tuesday, June 15th at the newly completed Tamarack Resort Village Plaza for a summer kick-off and Chamber appreciation party from 5-7pm for our first in-person Chamber event since COVID-19. We are ecstatic to be able to reunite and celebrate you all after a very tough and humbling past 15 months. It has been our privilege to serve you during COVID-19, but now it is time to kick-back and relax with our small business community.

SEEKING LARRAINE HAWES AWARD NOMINATIONS
At the summer kick-off party, we are proud to present two (2) Larraine Gardner Hawes Distinguished Community Service Awards for 2020 & 2021. In a typical year, this award is presented at our Spring Breakfast, but because we were unable to host our breakfast last spring, we have the honor of selecting two recipients this year.

The Chamber Board will be electing one of the recipients, but we would LOVE the business community's help to select one other deserving community member.

About the Award....
This Chamber award is presented in honor of a former employee, Larraine Gardner Hawes, whose life and service inspired its creation. She is remembered for her generosity, service to her community and love of her family and friends.

For many years to come, a worthy community member will be chosen by nomination to be the recipient of an award that will exist to honor persons who are making significant contributions to their community through their time, actions, talents and dedication.

Through demonstrated, sustained commitment to the community and contributions to quality of life enhancement in the community, they will be awarded the Larraine Gardner Hawes Distinguished Service Award.

RUN FOR THE CHAMBER BOARD IN JUNE!


The McCall Area Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau is seeking applicants for our upcoming 2021-2022 Board that will begin their (3) three year term in July. Elections will be held electronically the week of June 21st. Deadline to apply is Friday, June 18th.
 
The Board of Directors is a dynamic and passionate team that currently consists of 11 elected board members and four (4) community representatives from Cascade, Donnelly, City of McCall, and Meadows Valley, who take interest in important issues such as economic vitality, local businesses, regional marketing, events, and more.
 
Effective leadership is needed more than ever and this is your chance to get involved.

The MACCVB supports and promotes local businesses for a sustainable, healthy, and engaged community for years to come. We love what we do and are looking for other passionate community members looking to make a difference in the McCall area. Join our team and help drive our mission.
 
Candidates must be members in good standing with the Chamber and possess a willingness to fulfill the following requirements:
 
1. Commit to a (3) three-year term on the Board of Directors
2. Attend monthly Board meetings (held the 2nd Thursday of Every Month 8am)
3. Serve and participate on at least one team - Marketing, Events, Membership Services & Business Development, and Strategic Initiatives
4. Attend Chamber functions, such as Business After Hours and Annual Meetings

It's that time of year when we are flipping over our office to prepare for summer. Chamber members, if you have summer or updated materials, please drop them off to stock our office!

If our office is closed, feel free to drop in one of our closed containers outside and we will grab it!
