2025 - Impact by the Numbers

1 New Country Opened

In 2025, Family Humanitarian proudly opened work in a new country: Zambia. We now have a full-time local team on the ground in Zambia, helping villages qualify for and maintain life-changing boreholes. Using the sustainable water model we’ve been refining for several years, we plan to provide hundreds of thousands of people in Zambia with long-term access to clean water.

2 Public Expeditions

Two public expeditions traveled to Uganda and made a powerful difference. Together, these groups helped provide 100 new school desks, giving children a better place to learn. They also delivered 140 household water filters, bringing clean water directly into family homes where drilling for clean water is not possible. They purchased and distributed 195 goats, supporting nutrition and long-term income for women. These trips were hands-on, meaningful, and full of lasting impact.

The summer 2026 expedition is open for families and individuals to join. Sign up for the experience of a lifetime, learn more at FamilyHumanitarian.org.

4 New Employees

We continue to keep Family Humanitarian’s overhead extremely lean. With our Executive Director, Michaela, working full-time, and Carrie working part-time in the U.S., our operations remain efficient and focused on impact. All other employees are African nationals—2 in Ghana, 3 in Uganda, 2 in Kenya, and 2 in Zambia—ensuring our work is locally led and culturally informed. Every donated dollar goes directly to projects, and we are grateful for donors who intentionally and transparently support staff and overhead costs. Meet the team on the About Us page of our website.

77 Water Projects Changed 159,274 Lives

In 2025 alone, 77 new water projects brought clean, reliable water to 77 villages, serving 159,274 people. Behind each number is a unique story of resilience, hard work, and hope. These boreholes mean fewer waterborne illnesses, more time for school and work, and stronger, healthier communities built to last. To date, we have blessed 366 villages with clean water sources and changed the lives of 755,000 people and counting!

Unmeasurable gratitude from those whose lives have been blessed! Thank you for your continued support!
