Tropical Storm Isaias - August 2, 2020

Dear Valued Client,

Hurricane Isaias is now Tropical Storm Isaias and is moving NNW at 8mph . It is currently located about 50 miles SE of Ft. Pierce. The 11am track has the projected path northward along and just off the east coast of Florida and Georgia and then into South Carolina Monday evening. Per our DR plan, we are having daily internal meetings to coordinate preparatory actions and will continue to do so through Monday or as long as the storm poses a threat to our service area.

As the models below show, Isaias slowed down and diminished in strength and will remain offshore. At present, only tropical storm warnings and watches exist from Jupiter Inlet, FL to Surf City, NC. Given that the storm has weakened and should remain offshore, the east coast of Florida will get some wind and rain over the next 24-36 hours, but it is unlikely it will reach Tropical Storm force levels. We still do not expect the system to force any operational closures, but local delays could occur on a case-by-case basis. Also, NE Florida could have some delayed Monday morning start times depending upon conditions so let us know about those if they exist for your business.

Also, please keep an eye on the storm (with the links below) for any westward wobble as any movement closer to the coast could expand the possibility of delivery delays.
As you consider your deliveries during this period of time, please call us to discuss any modifications you would like to make and we will do the same.

Please see more information at the links below. Unless the strength of the storm intensifies or poses a greater risk to the coast than at present, this will likely be our last email communication.

Best regards,
