CSA Maintenance Department Updates
Greenwood Drive Road Reconstruction Update
  • Crews successfully completed asphalt operations on the roadway, both the leveling course and the surface course and continued work along the leisure path in the project area. (See photos)
  • Temporary line striping on Greenwood Drive was also installed in the project zone.
  • Work will take place on Saturday, February 15th, weather permitting.
  • Grading will occur alongside of Greenwood Drive, weather permitting.

Lighthouse Road Reconstruction Update
  • Drainage work and leisure trail repairs continue next week, weather permitting.
  • Work will be taking place on Saturday, February 15th, weather permitting.
  • Motorists should expect traffic delays in the area closest to Harbour Town. Flag persons will be present as needed to control traffic.

CSA Tree Care Program Update
This week, crews conducted tree care management activities including tree pruning in CSA managed areas and in certain cases, along Plantation Drive, tree removal of declining trees (see photos). Thank you to everyone for using caution while in these work zones.

Town of HHI to conduct Stormwater Drainage Maintenance In South Beach Area
Beginning next week, The Town of Hilton Head Island will begin conducting excavation/dredging and drainage pipe cleaning of select lagoons in the South Beach area.

Heavy equipment will be on site at the designated locations, shown in the project map. Road or leisure trail closures are not anticipated.

Coyote Safety Information

Coyotes live in Sea Pines, so please be reminded not let pets roam free and to please follow the leash law requirements when in the community.

If you feel a coyote is becoming a threat, call the Sea Pines Security Department Dispatch phone line at 843.671.7170. Our Wildlife Officer of the Security Department will respond and evaluate the situation.

Safe Driving Reminder

As a general safety reminder, The Sea Pines Security Department would like to remind everyone that the speed limit in Sea Pines is 35 MPH, unless otherwise posted. Many of our secondary and tertiary roadways in Sea Pines have much lower speed limits of 15, 20 or 25 MPH.

With much construction activity and high pedestrian and cyclist traffic along our roadways and leisure paths, we ask you to use caution while driving and to please obey posted speed limit signage. For everyone's safety, please DO NOT speed in Sea Pines.
