Last week marked a significant deadline in the legislative process with the conclusion of the bill introduction deadline. BOMA California has taken a proactive stance, identifying over 450 bills for close monitoring. This extensive list includes a notable number of spot bills, which are placeholder bills that may undergo substantial amendments as the legislative session progresses. BOMA California is gearing up to collaborate extensively with various stakeholders and legislative offices. The aim is to engage in constructive dialogue and advocacy efforts to ensure that the interests of commercial real estate are well-represented and safeguarded as these bills move through the legislative process. Stay tuned as the spot bill deadline is March 11, 2024.
