My name is Eric Speaker. I am a Java Developer and have been with AHA for about a year and a half.

1) If you were shipwrecked on a deserted island and all of your human needs - such as food and water - were taken care of, what two items would you want to have with you?

Assuming I would want to get off the island I would want a way to contact people to call for assistance and then probably something to pass the time till those people get me off the island. So my second item would be something like a good book or book series.

2) If you were an animal, what animal would you be?

A dog, more specifically a beagle or a Labrador.

3) What’s your favorite time waster?

Watching various tv shows and movies.

4) What hobbies do you have outside of work?

Outside of work my hobbies include playing guitar and both watching and playing sports.

5) What’s your favorite thing about working at AHA?

The people I get to know and work with.

AHA COURTESY PROGRAM RENEWALS

The Courtesy Program Renewals have been emailed to those with valid email addresses on file.

Renominations were sent to the current owner of record. It is the responsibility of the owner to renominate their horse(s) prior to the December 31, 2019 deadline. If an owner does not receive the renomination form, please call AHA to renew. Take advantage of lower fees and postmark/transact your renewals on or before December 31, 2019. Renewals postmarked after December 31, 2019 may be subject to late fees or additional fees.

For Amateur Achievement Awards, Achievement Awards, Distance Horse, USDF All Breeds Awards and Open Qualification Programs, please submit your renewal prior to your first competition of 2020.

You can renew by submitting the completed form with payment to AHA via US Mail, on-line or email (pdf format). You may also contact the AHA office and renew over the phone.

If you have not received your courtesy renewal notice, please contact AHA.

The deadline to enroll your 2020 in-utero foal is December 31st!!

Enroll you 2020 foal as a Breeding Entry for $400 and/or in the US/ Canadian Halter Futurity Program ($70 per horse/per country). Enrollments must be postmarked/electronic transaction dated by December 31, 2019 in order to avoid late fees.

Every 4 ^th Breeding Entry enrolled in the same year by the same owner may be enrolled at one-half price. The discount applies to each submission of at least four entries submitted at the same time.

In-Utero Applications postmarked/electronic transaction dated January 1 ^st through February 15 ^th the year the foal is due can be accepted with an additional $100 late fee for a Breeding Entry and $100 late fee per horse/per country for the US and Canadian Halter Futurity Program.

You can complete and return the AHA In-Utero Foal Application, enroll on-line or you can contact the AHA office at and make the enrollment over the phone.

As we near the close of calendar year 2019, it is very important that we clear all of our pending registrations. This is one of the most important activities your Arabian Horse Association manages every year, and we ask for your help to see to it that your foal registration records are completed.

Calling All Stallion Owners!

As the year comes to an end it is time to submit record of the mares your stallion has bred this year. Stallion reports are another tool that AHA uses to implement our mission to keep accurate and current records, a responsibility in maintaining the integrity of the breed. A stallion report is also a requirement for the registration of the upcoming foal.

Your stallion report can also be beneficial for you as well. Keep record of all purebred mares (required) and Half/Anglo Arabian mares (optional) that your US purebred stallion has bred throughout the year, sign the report and submit it to AHA by fax, email or regular mail by December 31 ^st to avoid a late penalty.
