SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
SBA’s New Initiative Will Expand Access to the 504 Program
SBA Administrator Loeffler announced a new Made in America Manufacturing Initiative, which focuses on policies to support domestic manufacturers. The NADCO team discussed this topic with Administrator Loeffler during their meeting in February and shared how NADCO, CDCs, and the 504 Loan Program could support efforts to empower small manufacturers.
The new Made in America Manufacturing Initiative was launched at the manufacturing facility of an SBA 504 loan borrower.
Administrator Loeffler shared, “With the Made in America Manufacturing Initiative, we’re slashing red tape, expanding access to capital, and fueling a manufacturing resurgence that will create high-paying jobs and revitalize communities across the country.”
The 504 Loan program is specifically mentioned in the Initiative:
- Reduce barriers to access for the 504-loan program, a zero-subsidy program which provides capital for real estate, construction, and equipment purchases. Zero-subsidy means the program operates without ongoing taxpayer funding and is sustained by borrower and lender fees.
The NADCO team looks forward to continued conversations and collaborations with the new SBA team to support their priorities and small business owners across the country.
