Census 2020
2020 Census
Deadline: September 30

Time is running out to be counted for the 2020 Census. The deadline to respond to the census is now September 30, 2020. You can do your part to ensure West Hollywood achieves an accurate population count. When residents are not counted, cities do not get their fair share of federal dollars. If we don't get the much needed resources, programs for residents do not get the funds needed. In addition, and very importantly, population counts are used to apportion Congressional seats. An undercount will result in a loss of a seat in the House of Representatives for the state of California. We cannot let that happen! Be part of the solution and BE COUNTED!

Artist Oli Rodriguez visualizes a queer family during the height of the AIDS pandemic amidst cruising landscapes. This project permeates and transverses into critical discourse around a disease that has gone from a death threat to manageable with current new HIV drugs (although not necessarily accessible to all). Rodriguez revisits that era of the AIDS epidemic to reframe, reclaim and retell the history of so many queer men lost, the families of children that were affected. This program is supported in part by an arts grant from the City of West Hollywood.
