We kicked off Catholic Schools Week last week with a whole school prayer service led by our 8th grade Faith & Service committee. | |
The O'Reilly Minute
Dear Parents,
Thank you for celebrating Catholic Schools Week with us last week! It was a wonderful week of celebration and service. Below, you'll find some photos capturing the highlights of the week. Our school community’s commitment to service is truly invaluable.
When we reached out to the Dublin Food Pantry to see if they could use 500+ boxes of cereal, they were moved to tears. At the time, they only had 16 boxes left on their shelves and were facing a large shortage to meet the needs of the families they serve. Not only did we have fun with our cereal domino challenge (video link below), but these simple boxes of cereal helped spread seeds of hope throughout our community!
Our diocese is participating in a research study being conducted by researchers Monica Kowalski and Joe Waddington at the University of Notre Dame in order to assess the impact of EdChoice Expansion on Catholic schools and families in the first years of implementation. As a parent/guardian of a child(ren) in a Catholic school, you are invited to participate in this optional study. The deadline for participation is February 14, 2025.
Results of this study may be used in research reports, journal articles, presentations, and to provide recommendations to other states as other policies are enacted across the country. Click here to take the survey.
Next Friday, February 14th we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with parties funded by our Annual Fund. Students are invited to enjoy a red dress down day.
May the blessings of St. Brigid be with you always,
Kathy O'Reilly
P.S. We are seeing a high volume of Influenza, Covid, RSV, Strep and other illnesses in the school and community. Please talk with your children on how they feel before sending them to school and help us educate them on preventative hygiene. Please see this attached sheet that we have been asked to share with our families and staff from the CDC.
Reminder: Please do not send your child to school if they have had a fever with fever reducing meds for the previous 24hrs, vomiting or diarrhea for the previous 24hrs.
Thank you very much.

Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us in your son,
Jesus Christ, our brother, and the flame of
charity enkindled in our hearts by the Holy
Spirit, reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us into tireless
cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within
both humanity and the whole cosmos in
the sure expectation of a new heaven and
a new earth, when, with the powers of Evil
vanquished, your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee reawaken
in us, Pilgrims of Hope, a yearning for the
treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread the joy
and peace of our Redeemer throughout
the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed, be glory
and praise for ever.
Amen

Semi-Annual Uniform & Spirit Wear Exchange Feb 23
Shoppers, sign up here: Winter 2025 Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange. This sign up contains more information about the exchange and signing up ensures you’ll receive a reminder to attend. Everything is FREE and you don’t need to donate to attend. Prospective families are also welcome to come to start their wardrobe and seek answers to uniform questions. If you need items, but can’t attend, let a friend shop for you!
Have items to donate? If you have gently used items for the uniform and spirit wear exchange you have a few options for drop-off:
-
At the school office beginning Feb 3 during school hours
- At a bin outside Erin Heise’s home at 6588 Wynwright Dr Dublin OH Feb 15-21
- Bring them with you to the exchange if the other options don't work for you, but please help us put them out.
- If you have a ripped jumper or logoed item, please still donate it as we can use it for spare parts (buttons, crest, elastic, etc.)! Similarly, if you have gym jackets without logos, we will try to find crests to add to them
-
Leftovers will be given to the Bishop Griffin Center.
Volunteer. Volunteers are needed to organize the exchange, help others find items, and to clean up and pack items for donation at the end of the exchange. If you are free, please sign up here: Winter 2025 Uniform and Spirit Wear Exchange Volunteer Sign Up
