Question:

How does Judaism view vegetarianism? Is it favored or discouraged by the Torah?

The kosher dietary rules do rule out shrimp, lard, cheeseburgers, and lobster, but plain old beef is not on the Torah’s “don’t” list—if prepared following certain guidelines. For better or for worse, meat is an undeniable favorite on the kosher menu. Is this good? Let’s have a look.

A man named Chaim lived in Montreal, Canada. Chaim was facing great financial difficulty, and after much consideration, in 1995 he decided to move to an unknown part of Canada, where he thought opportunities would be better financially for him and his family. The 3rd Temple & the 3rd Patriarch

From "From Exile to Redemption", published by SIE.

baishamikdash image

The Zohar describes the First and Second Holy Temples as “the building of mortal man which has no lasting existence,” whereas the Third Holy Temple, since it is “the building of the Holy One, blessed be He,” will endure forever.

The 1st Holy Temple corresponds to  Avraham Avinu (our Father); the 2nd Holy Temple  corresponds to Yitzchak Avinu; the 3rd Holy Temple corresponds to Yakov  Avinu.  And since the dominant characteristic of Yakov Avinu is truth, which can be neither intercepted nor changed, the Third Holy Temple will stand forever.

It is practically as easy to make as smoothie!

It is deliciously refreshing. Talk about a summer treat! And no cooking whatsoever. Do not hesitate to serve it to company.

Corn and avocados

They are natural partners, in this chilled corn soup and many other treats. Avocados give the soup its unctuousness.

Shoshana Epstein just received her learner's permit offered to drive her parents to shul for the Shiffman bris. After a hair-raising ride, they finally reached their destination.

Mrs. Epstein got out of the car and said, "Thank you!"

"Anytime," Shoshana replied.

As her mother slammed the door, she said, "I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to God."

"Everyone must regard himself and the world as evenly poised between good and guilt...If he performed a good deed, he has shifted the balance of his fate, and that of the entire world to good, and has brought deliverance and salvation upon himself and upon them all."
