DERBY FOR A CAUSEšš¹ | | |
DERBY FOR A CAUSE
Last Saturday, May 2nd, the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department attended the PSB Derby Day for a Cause Gala at Canfield Casino. The event honored the Saratoga Springs Recreation Department and celebrated the important work of PSB Transitions of Saratoga, while also raising over $50,000 in support of their mission. Proceeds will go toward the Rec Center to further support PSBās work and shared commitment to serving local children and families.
PSB is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and families in crisis across the Saratoga and Capital District, with a mission focused on keeping children connected to their community. The organization also honors the legacy of the late Patricia Sweeney Bergin, a beloved former school social worker in Saratoga who devoted her life to removing barriers that prevented children and families from fully participating in their community. We are honored to be part of carrying forward that legacy.
Over the past year, our partnership with PSB has helped expand our āTry Sports for FREEā program, provide sports equipment to local children, and launch a free weekly after-school Rec Sports Club.
We are grateful for PSBās continued generosity and support of the Rec Center, and excited to continue working together over the coming years to expand programming and further break down barriers so more children can participate in their community through sports.
Thank you, PSB Transitions of Saratoga! š
