Be part of the waters nourishing MCC.

“The waters nourished it, the deep made it grow tall, making its rivers flow around the place it was planted, sending forth its streams to all the trees of the field.” - Ezekiel 31.4.

We are making progress with twice as many pledges as last week! But we still have a way to go. We’ve received about 60% of our expected and hoped for pledges. Thank you to everyone who has already pledged.

If you haven’t yet had a chance, don’t worry. It’s not too late to get yours in!

Why pledge?

If you worshipped with us this past Sunday, you heard the choir sing the anthem “The Road Home” with the words, “There is no such beauty as where you belong … follow me, I will lead you home.” During the pledge drive we heard two very new MCC people, Patty Houpt and Curtis Blomberg, speak about their experience of MCC as “home.” On Sunday, the Mission Trip participants led worship and through so many of their words spoke about how important MCC is to them. Please watch their MCC and Me Moment from the service.

MCC makes a difference in so many of our lives. Its staff leads in ways that touch our lives through prayer and worship, music, education, connections, caring, and service. Our building supports us. During our pledge drive you have an opportunity to think about how our ministries and programs touch your life and the life of your family. Your pledge shows your gratitude towards MCC and allows us to plan to fulfill its hopes of:

  • More ways to share God's love and our love in and outside of MCC.
  • Growing connection through events and programs that engage our members of all ages and the community.
  • Continued stability and fair compensation for our staff.
  • Buildings that enhance and support our mission.

An average pledge of $3,650 will allow us to achieve our hopes for MCC. Some can give more while others cannot give as much. We welcome pledges of all sizes!

Starting this weekend, those who haven’t pledged will be receiving direct reminders from the Stewardship folks. You may still avoid that by submitting your 2025 pledge in any of the following ways:

  • Mail in the pledge card if you received it in the mail or print out the one from the email or bring it to MCC;
  • Email your pledge to George Connor, our Assistant Treasurer at abner1776@aol.com;
  • Pledge through our website at MCCsudbury.org/pledge.

Thank you!

Stewardship: Gail Wright, Brian Morrissey, Patty Houpt, George Connor, and Cathy Abraham.
