Greetings in the name of the Lord! What a joy it is to serve in ministry with you! As we walk on this journey of faith together, we will begin sending out a monthly newsletter with ministry opportunities for Children and Families. Be on the lookout for ways to connect with one another!

Soul Feast Fun
Our first monthly Soul Feast was last night and the children were excited to feed their bodies and souls with their church family! Join us next time on October 5th at 5:30pm for dinner!
Ongoing
The children's music ministry started back last night! We had a first great rehearsal with both of our children's choirs. If you missed the first rehearsal, that's okay! We'll still be happy to see you next Wednesday!
Children 3 years old through 1st grade are invited to Joyful Noise at 4:30pm to ring bells, sing praise, participate in a rhythm band, and puppetry arts.
Our new children’s choir Hallelujah Kids will meet at 5:00pm for 2nd through 8th graders to learn to ring tone chimes and handbells, sing praise, participate in a drumming circle, and puppetry arts.
Childcare will be available from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM each Wednesday at the church for parents who are involved in the church music ministry.
Please contact Alicia Taylor by phone (770-656-6848) or email (alicia@fpccov.org) with any questions.
Upcoming Events
Middle School Montreat is a fun way to connect with other teens as you reflect on your faith journey. Worship and keynote engage youth in the theme and challenge all in attendance to faith exploration and growth. Dates: July 19-22, 2023. More info to follow.
A reminder to everyone, First Presbyterian is responsible for delivery and distribution of the Meals on Wheels for the Covington High Rise on the last Saturday of each month. The next delivery will be on September 24th. It only takes about an hour (9:30 to 10:30 AM) of your Saturday morning. Anyone who would like to help in this important and gratifying program should contact Curtis Watson at wats1818@bellsouth.net or 404-550-1212.
General Sunday Practices
All children are always invited to wiggle and giggle in worship!
Included in worship is a time of "Wondering with God's Children" where children are invited to come forward for a message. Afterward, they are invited to remain in worship or go downstairs with the nursery workers for the remainder of service.

Worship Bags are available for children on the rack outside the Sanctuary in the Narthex.

During Worship, we invite our children to look for our FPC Church Mice! Our Church Mice will teach us about worship each Sunday!
A nursery is available on the lower level of the church for newborns through 1st grade children. We do hope children will worship with us in the sanctuary! Wiggles and Giggles are so very welcome!
Our nursery is a safe, loving, and nurturing environment for our youngest disciples.
Thank you to our rotation of Sunday School teachers and Nursery Workers who make it possible for FPC to have such a thriving atmosphere for children!
If your little ones become regular visitors to Sunday School, Worship, or the Nursery, we ask that you fill out the Child Consent Form
