Coming Soon - DI Competency Based Framework Survey

Be on the lookout for a new survey to support the work to develop a Competency Based Framework for training residents in Diagnostic Imaging.

This survey supports the goal to define the essential competencies that represent the abilities expected of a DI specialist. These competencies are intended to form an open-access, evidence-based foundation that veterinary residency programs can adopt or adapt to meet competency-based educational standards. This initiative supports program development, ensures training consistency, and helps graduates meet the real-world demands of practice.

Volunteer to Serve on an ACVR Committee in 2026!

Did you know the ACVR has over 25 active committees? ACVR needs you! Our college depends on committee and society volunteers to ensure its success, so we hope you’ll consider volunteering for a committee or a society!

We are currently accepting volunteers to begin serving on committees in 2026! Exam Committee is a popular request for volunteers, but we encourage anyone with the capacity to also consider other committees such as DI & EDI Residency Standards and Evaluation Committee (RSEC), Veterinary Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (VRTOG), Online CE Committee and leadership roles in Veterinary Ultrasound Society.

If you are interested in serving but aren't sure where to start, visit the Administration and Committees page of our website or contact the Nominating Committee Chair to learn more.

Know what committee you're interested in serving on? Sign up now!

Help ACVR Residents - Host a Summer/Fall RIVDI Session!

Rounds in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (RIVDI) is an extra-institutional training opportunity which provide KCC-style training for residents, although radiologists are also more than welcome to attend.

I’m looking for guest radiologists to lead sessions (Tuesdays at 8:30pm EST). Cases are provided in advance to be reviewed, and we then meet every other week to go over the cases and learn a lot! You can find the 2025 schedule here.

RIVDI presentations are worth maintenance of certification points. We also would be forever grateful for your participation. Let me know if you have any questions or totally game for any of the available dates!

With appreciation,

Elodie Huguet

Chair, RIVDI
