AggieExpense Homepage Gets a New Look

Concur -- the platform behind the AggieExpense system -- is making improvements to its homepage.

The redesign does not include any functionality changes; it is only an update to how the homepage looks. This includes a more intuitive design and user-friendly navigation.

Last month, Concur began offering users the option to enable the new look via a banner on the AggieExpense homepage. Users can also revert back to the current homepage if they desire.

Starting in late October, the page will default to the new version, but users will still be able to revert to the old page.

In January 2025, the old homepage will be retired and replaced with the new version.

Gas Cylinder Best Practices

The new school year is a great time to take stock of your lab or department's gas cylinder inventory.

Empty cylinders should be returned to the supplier or placed in the "empty" side of your cylinder cage for pick up. Equally important, unused cylinders should not sit stagnant in the "full" side of the cage, which impedes deliveries of new full cylinders. Please use these cylinders before ordering replacements, request to have them picked-up by the vendor or Storehouse, or store these cylinders in an alternate location.

Spotlight On: Alberto Cardenas

You won't find Alberto Cardenas behind a desk -- though you may find him behind a grill. As part of the Logistics Storehouse team, Alberto is always on the move, driving around campus delivering and picking up gas cylinders or totes of documents for shredding. On the weekends he's likely to be in the backyard grilling for friends and family.

Plan Now for the Supplier Showcase

The annual UC Davis Supplier Showcase returns to the Activities and Recreation Center (ARC) on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 10am to 1pm. In a nod to the season, we will be sharing tricks to make purchasing a treat!

As in the past, this year’s event features more than 20 university agreement suppliers with laboratory, medical, office, custodial, furniture, and computing/software catalogs. Talk to the suppliers and learn more about the breadth and depth of their catalogs available in Aggie Enterprise and on university agreements. Attend one or more breakout sessions on a variety of purchasing policy and procedures. In addition, you can register to win raffle prizes and enjoy some light appetizers and beverages as well.

As part of an ongoing effort to simplify, modernize and streamline our forms, all Supply Chain Management forms are now housed on the Supply Chain Management All Forms page. This web page includes links to PDF forms, spreadsheets, and online forms, too. Other web pages that contain form links will be redirected to the All Forms page on October 1st. We are hopeful that this improves the process of locating and completing forms.
