Greetings!

Welcome to our first-quarter update! Because of your generous support last year, we’re excited to begin 2026 with the resources needed to move all our goals forward.

We’re especially grateful for a committed group of volunteers who will be traveling with us in April, May, and June to visit and support our projects firsthand. Thank you for being part of this journey with us - we couldn’t do it without you.

Honouring Ron Sydenham, Chair

Completed Green House

ABW has finished construction on its first school green house project! This project, taking place at Gilgil Highway School is part of ABW's initiative to combine agriculture education and food security for the schools. The students and staff will manage the greenhouse opperations. With this green house, they are able to not only produce food for the school feeding program, they are also able to provide jobs and grow extra produce to sell.

Upcoming Trips

Our board member and project manager, Warren Schnoor, will launch our upcoming volunteer trips in April. He will review projects currently in progress, assess completed work, and identify opportunities for future initiatives.

In May, Eric will continue this work in Tanzania before joining 23 additional volunteers in Kenya in June. This larger team will include a rehabilitation group, an education team, and a project monitoring and evaluation team. While the teams will be deployed across various regions of Kenya, they will meet toward the end of the trip to share insights and outcomes.
