Welcome to the May edition!

Summer's coming and if you and/or your loved one is looking into camp options! Here is a list of camps in Washington State (and a few just over the border in Idaho) that offer programming and trained staff for individuals with special health conditions or disability. The list includes free camps, camps partnered with Lifespan Respite WA where families can use their voucher, and non-partnered camps that charge a fee, but which may have scholarships or similar assistance.

Please use the links for more in-depth camp program descriptions and to register.

The summer months offer us time to relax, enjoy some of our favorite things to do, and learn! Just as the Extended School (ESY) Year Helps Students maintain skills it can be an excellent time for all adult-learners too. Starting July 3rd with IDEA Unveiled: Exploring the 4 Core Components of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act to Student-Let IEP Meetings on August 28th. You can register to join or watch the recording on-demand and catch the whole series or pick and choose from the 5 topics!
