Dia Beacon Museum
View some spectacular 20th Century art by Andy Warhol, Richard Serra and others on the Hudson River
What is Dia Beacon?
Dia Beacon is a major museum of contemporary art with more exhibition space than Manhattan’s Guggenheim, Whitney Museum, and MoMA combined.
The former Nabisco box-printing plant, on the Hudson River at Beacon NY, makes it an appropriate setting for the Dia Foundation’s permanent collection of art from the 1960s and ‘70s, including “oversized” works and sculptures.
Each of the artists represented have individual galleries fashioned specifically for their creations. Taken together, their works represent nearly all of the important late 20th century art movements—abstract expressionism, minimalism, conceptual and pop art. Highlights include works by Andy Warhol, Dan Flavin, Louise Bourgeois and Richard Serra.
