Central Arts Alliance Board of Directors Appoints Executive Director

The Central Arts Alliance Board of Directors has announced

the appointment of Angelique Kane as Executive Director

The Central Arts Alliance Board of Directors has officially appointed Angelique N. Kane as the Executive Director of Phoenix Center for the Arts, effective June 2, 2025. After serving as Interim Executive Director since April 1, Angelique has already made a powerful impact—bringing transformational leadership rooted in empathy, trauma-responsive practices, and culturally-sustaining systems.

During her interim tenure, Angelique has led the development of key administrative systems and implemented a strategy using the arts as a transformative tool of healing to strengthen the Center’s relationships within the arts community.

“Working with Angelique Kane over the past few months has been an absolute joy,” said La Nise Hagan, Board Chair. “From day one, she’s brought fresh energy, a collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to community engagement. It was a no-brainer to bring her on full-time; she was made for this role.”
