Because Lutherans seek health and wholeness: we shared space with our neighbors participating in World Tai Chi/Qi Gong Day last Saturday. "The east lawn of ELC was a perfect setting!" remarked Barry A. Jackson, PT, DPT (GRMC Physical Therapist) who lead his students from the Guadalupe Regional Wellness Center and the Seguin Public Library through a modification of the Tai Chi Yang style used to enhance balance and stability in an outdoor setting. Learn more about this healthy practice in Seguin here. We are better, and healthier, together.

Emanuel's Ladies Aid met at their first Wednesday of the month meeting on May 4, 2022. Pictured above are the women celebrating Mother's Day. Of the many items up for discussion, Ladies Aid President Jeannie Hall shared minutes from a meeting 50 years ago.
Judy Stollewerk was shocked to learn that her mother was then treasurer. Barbara Haas, the current treasurer, was dumbfounded to find out that her mother had written a skit produced by the women five decades ago. "I didn't know she could even do that!" Barbara exclaimed.

Ladies Aid has been a service organization serving Emanuel's and the community since 1899. Many of today's members are following in the footsteps of their mothers, grandmothers, and even great grandmothers. Their ministry extends far beyond monthly meetings and coffee cakes. Lifelong friendships are formed and faith is deepened through study and prayer.
Continuing their tradition of service and philanthropy, Jeannie Hall, on behalf of the Ladies Aid, presented Pastor Marcus with a check for $12,000 to go towards the Forward in Faith campaign.
If you are interested in learning more about Ladies Aid, please contact Jeannie Hall here.

JUBILATION SINGERS GO ON SUMMER HOLIDAY;
SUMMER SINGERS TAKE OVER
On June 5, the Day of Pentecost, the Jubilation Singers will sing their last service for the summer. This group has given tirelessly of their time and talents since September of 2021, and they will take a much deserved rest. Their work will be taken up by the Summer Singers on Sunday, June 12, and will continue until the first Sunday of September.
During the months of June, July, and August, the Summer Singers will meet at 9.58 am Lutheran Daylight Time at the grand piano on the Nave to rehearse their music. We will try to let our creative selves really show through. I will communicate with them often to keep them abreast of what they will be doing.
I invite any of you who are interested in choral singing to please join us in Summer Singers. Remember that there is no Wednesday rehearsal; just on the Sundays that are designated for their singing. It is a good way for you to introduce yourself to singing in a choir! Come one. Come all. No age limit. And, there are no auditions! Please feel free to contact me at thomas@elcseguin.org or catch me after worship.
I hope to see you there and then!
