Events

All Emory Crossing events held at the Amenity Center are for residents only unless otherwise stated. Registration links will be included in this year's community events. Please register so we can plan accordingly.

Those with alleyways, please have your garage sale in the front yard, as parking in the alley is not permitted. Let's keep our alleyways safe.

Volunteer and Committee Opportunities are coming soon!

Management and the Board are wrapping up details. If you want to help with events or around the Amenities, please reach out! As soon as the charter is finalized, another email will be sent out, but a personal invite will be sent to you.

Remember, this is for your household only. Please do not invite others from outside the community, as our assessments pay for our social event budget.

Save the dates!

Earth Day is April 22nd. The Association is planning a Butterfly Garden Event with Sunscape from 5-6:30pm.

There will be a community event on May 1st from 3-5pm to celebrate the new pool season. See all the fun pool updates below.

Resident Communication

Street Lights

The lights are not owned by the Association. If there is a light that is damaged or out of service, please submit a request to Oncor. Step-by-step instructions can be found in our FAQs.

Speed Limit

The message is clear by the communication of residents to the office. Everyone driving our roads needs to live with integrity and go at or below the posted speed limit.

The Association requests a close patrol twice a year on each end of the school season. There are limits to how long and how many times this can be completed. It is meant more as a residential service than an Association service. This is not a fulltime patrol. The PD just randomly pops in more often than they already do. You can request your own close patrol with the Hutto Police Department.

Stop Signs

Stop before the line. Do not cross the pedestrian crosswalk ramp with your vehicle until after you have come to a complete stop and checked for kids, adults, and animals.

Community Info

eNewsletter Sign-Up

Have you seen a fellow neighbor asking where you are getting information? It is possible they have not explored EmoryCrossing.com yet. The Association is not on any social media, so we don't know what we don't know.

Please encourage them to sign up to receive community updates! Due to the CAN-SPAM Act, the Association only sends required emails. You are not automatically signed up for community updates.

Replies to the newsletter go straight to the office, so if you want to comment on something, please send a message over!

Sports Court

Please use the "Good Neighbor" policy while using the court. If others are waiting, leave the court within the hour, and/or offer them to join you. This is a great way to meet your neighbors with similar interests! There is no reservation process at this time.

Spring is Coming!

The weeds are getting out of control in the residential yards. Treat these ASAP with a post-emergent or pull them. Help keep Emory Crossing looking sharp - take care of your property. If you lack equipment, check with the City's loan program. Information is below.

Our landscaper has provided a guide to help you plan when you need to tackle certain tasks.

See last year's newsletter for relevant tips.

Native Milkweed

Pflugerville HEBs should have them beginning March 21st, per the Monarch Sanctuary Project. Hutto may have them around that time, too.

Do not plant Tropical Milkweed. This is junk food for the monarchs and does not allow them to properly migrate. Let's save the monarchs and only plant native!

Landscaping Tips & Tricks

Weeds in the Rocks & Yard - Spray a post emergent &/or pull these weeds and grasses out of the rocks.

Aster Weed - Pull this weed before it gets out of control.

Nutsedge Weed - Treat with SedgeHammer. Do not pull. It will spread.

Tree Pruning - All trees should be worked up to a 6-8' canopy base as the tree matures. If the tree is along a sidewalk, they need to be pruned up to 14'.

Fence Stain - Approved color is Wood Defender, Color: 200 Series, Semi-Transparent Sierra.

Dead Trees - Must be replaced with the same species, unless otherwise approved.

Trash/Recycling Bins - Store them out of view when it is not trash day. If you have an alley, you may store them on the driveway near the garage door.

Parking - Commercial vehicles are prohibited. Registration must be showing at all time. No car covers or expired registration is permitted. Do not park in fire lanes at any time.

This is a handy little tool for pulling weeds. It is only about $5-10 at our local hardware stores. Wet the lawn, gentle press tool vertically next to the weed, loosen the dirt, then you should be able to remove the weed - root and all - by tilting the tool towards the weed.

SedgeHammer is for nutsedge - a weed you should not pull. The nut stays in the ground and makes this weed spread. This is a selective herbicide, so it won't harm your healthy sod near by.

BUURT - Your New Resident Portal

To make managing your association account simpler and more convenient, we recently introduced BUURT, our new resident portal, which is your one-stop shop where you can pay assessments, review your account details, and stay informed about your community.

With secure single sign-on, you no longer need to visit multiple websites or keep track of multiple passwords. Once you’re logged in, you can easily:

  • Make payments directly through Western Alliance Bank (also known as Alliance Association Bank or AAB)
  • View your account balance and transaction history
  • Review your property's open compliance
  • Access the calendar and important association documents

We’re excited to share that more than 80 residents have already logged in and explored the new system! While you can continue to use your previous payment methods for your assessments, we encourage you to take advantage of the new system for all digital payments.
