The Mogollon World Tour: Hueco Tanks, the Mimbres Valley, Gila Cliff Dwellings and Paquime
April 24-30, 2020
Led by Archaeologist Ed Barnhart

Beginning and ending in El Paso, Texas, Dr. Barnhart will lead you through – starting with the amazing Mogollon Rock Art found among the rock formations of Hueco Tanks.  The next few days will be based in Silver City, NM from where participants will enjoy special access tours of museums, archaeological sites and the Gila Cliff Dwellings.  The final part of the week is what makes this trip so special – a journey across the Mexican border to the amazing ruins of Paquime.  Half Mogollon, half Mesoamerican, Paquime is shrouded in mystery and one of the most unique archaeological sites in all of North America.  A visit to the famous pottery village of Mata Ortiz will round out the week before the group heads back into the US for flights home.
