Spring has Sprung in

Lake Arrowhead

As the winter snow fades, Lake Arrowhead transforms into a vibrant mountain playground. April marks a season of renewal here, where the crisp alpine air carries the scent of pine and the forest floor begins to blossom. The bright yellow daffodils are in bloom with the Dogwood trees not far behind. Whether you’re looking to escape the coastal fog, the inland heat, or simply want a change of scenery, spring in the San Bernardino Mountains offers a refreshing pace that you won’t find anywhere else.

Your Ultimate Spring Break Destination

Forget the crowded beaches; this year, head for the heights. Lake Arrowhead is the premier choice for Spring Break, offering a perfect balance of relaxation and adventure. From hiking the scenic Pacific Crest Trail to exploring the charming boutiques and eateries in Lake Arrowhead Village, there is plenty to keep every member of the family engaged.

Our community pride itself on being "A Mountain of Fun" all year long. In April, the transition of seasons creates unique opportunities for visitors:

  • Family Adventures: Spend the day at Skypark at Santa’s Village for biking and climbing, or take a guided tour on the Arrowhead Queen to see our stunning shoreline.
  • Nature Lovers: Discover the local flora at the Heaps Peak Arboretum as the dogwoods begin their spectacular spring show.
  • Relaxation Seekers: Enjoy a quiet afternoon gazing at the water sipping a fun drink or indulge in a spa day at one of our world-class retreats.

The Perfect SoCal Staycation

Conveniently located just a short drive from Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego, Lake Arrowhead is the easiest staycation in Southern California. You can trade traffic for mountain trails in under two hours, making it the ideal getaway for a weekend recharge or a week-long retreat.

We invite you to come up and breathe in the fresh spring air. We’ll see you on the mountain!

I wandered lonely as a cloud

That floats on high o'er vales and hill

When all at once I saw a crowd,

A host, of golden daffodils;

Beside the lake, beneath the trees,

Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

-William Wordsworth

Renew & Refresh: Preparing Your Mountain Home for Summer

As our mountain landscape wakes from it's quick winter nap, spring offers a unique opportunity for a fresh reset. In Lake Arrowhead and the surrounding communities, this season is more than just a change in weather—it is a vital transition period to prepare our homes and gardens for the high-energy summer months ahead.

Your Mountain Home & Garden Checklist

Mountain living comes with specific maintenance needs after a long winter. To ensure your property "sparkles" like the lake and stars by June, consider these essential tasks:

  • Exterior Integrity: Inspect your roof and gutters for damage caused by snow and ice. Power wash siding and decks to remove winter grime.
  • The Alpine Garden: Spring is the time to assess rocky mountain soil and add amendments like compost or mulch to retain moisture. Prune broken branches and prepare irrigation systems for the drier months.
  • System Check-ups: Service your HVAC units and replace filters to ensure efficient operation through every season.

Partner with Lake Arrowhead Professionals. You don’t have to tackle this transition alone. The Lake Arrowhead Chamber of Commerce features a robust directory of local business members dedicated to making your home shine.

Whether you need a professional cleaning crew, expert landscapers familiar with our unique climate, or contractor services for deck repairs, our members offer the expertise and reliability you expect from neighbors. By choosing Chamber member services, you aren't just refreshing your home; you are reinvesting in the local economy and ensuring our community remains a vibrant destination for all.
