REGAL WEEKLY

May 19th - May 23rd

Regina Community,

May is a month filled with traditions at Regina. Throughout the month we honor Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth and as the Mother of God. Students of all ages have taken part in meaningful May Crowning celebrations. What a wonderful reminder for us of Mary’s powerful example of saying “yes” to God.

This morning marks a very joyful “last” of the year as we celebrate Preschool Graduation. Our youngest Regals will sing loudly and walk across the stage proudly. Shortly following, our high school seniors will walk the halls of the elementary school, returning to where many of their own Regina journeys began.

As the year comes to a close, we are thankful for the many ways our students have grown: in faith, in character and even…. in height! Whether your child is finishing preschool, preparing for high school graduation or anything in between we are confident that they are ready!

The final two weeks of school will be filled with celebrations and recognition that remind us why Regina is so special. May we all enjoy the last days of this school year because it only happens once!

Please submit requests for the Regal Weekly HERE by Wednesday 3:00 p.m.

PISA Needs Volunteers for Parade of Homes Event

Volunteers are needed to help staff the welcome table at a home for the Parade of Homes event. PISA participates in this event each year and then Parade of Homes contributes a donation to benefit Regina students participating in Arts. Click HERE to sign up for a shift - multiple days are available on June 7, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 15 with a variety of time slots to choose from.

During the event, volunteers will be welcoming visitors and punching tickets to tour the house. Our volunteer location is at 929 Allison Way in Iowa City (just down Rochester Ave. from Regina in the new development). Each shift requires two volunteers, one of whom can be a youth, but the other must be an adult. Jr/Sr High students can earn Silver Cord hours for their participation. Thank you for considering volunteering with us and supporting Regina Arts!

Questions?  Contact PISA Volunteer Coordinator, Donna Santillan at pisavolunteer@gmail.com.

Now that registration, scholarship and ESA applications are checked off your list let home and school take care of your back to school supplies.
Avoid the chaos of the stores and lugging in multiple bags down the busy hallway. All ordered supplies will be waiting for your child in their new classroom at the back to school event in August. Let home and school take one thing off your already busy list so you can enjoy the sunny days of summer.

REGINA EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTER

As our preschool year in the Early Childhood Center comes to a close, students have been busy preparing for their upcoming Graduation ceremony! They’ve had a great time practicing the fun songs they’ll be performing at the end of the week. We've also been making the most of the beautiful weather, spending plenty of time outdoors on the playground and exploring the nature center with Mr. Eric.

Please remember to check your child’s cubby and take home any extra clothes or belongings on Friday.

We look forward to celebrating with you all on Friday at the Graduation! Thank you for entrusting us with your wonderful children during the 2024-2025 school year! We’ve had an absolute blast and are so grateful for the joy they’ve brought to our classrooms!
