Good Morning,
The human mind is an amazing thing. It is an advanced computer that can interpret and store a tremendous amount of data. It, only, has one problem. Unlike a computer, there is no way to back it up so when the computer fails, it can, simply be loaded to a new machine and easily accessed by people everywhere.
The closest way to achieve this is to share as much knowledge as possible with others. For some it is their children and grand children. Others it is through teaching. Some it is writing books. There are numerous ways to make this happen.
For many of us techie types, it is easy to say "I have it all saved on my computer". For the fun of it I did a little calculation. On my computer I have 228,000 separate files. Even if sorted into meaningful files, who, in his right mind is going to read all of them? As technology continues to change, what makes us believe future generations will even be able to access them? If we were to find an ancient flash drive in the ruins above, would it have, even survived, let alone be readable?
The best and surest way is to take time to pass as much information as possible to other people so they can use it in their lives and, then, pass it on as well.
Each of us has amassed great knowledge. Let's preserve it by passing it on.
Jim
