A LETTER FROM SHANNON BOYLE, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Dear friend of New Ground,
As we come to the close of 2025, I find myself reflecting with deep gratitude on what we have accomplished together and on the lives that have been forever changed because of your support.
This year marked a historic milestone for New Ground with the opening of The Grove, our first-ever affordable housing development in Suffolk County. For years, this vision represented hope: a safe, permanent place where families who have experienced homelessness could finally put down roots. In 2025, that hope became a reality. Families moved into stable homes, children unpacked backpacks in their own bedrooms, and parents found the security they needed to focus on building a future.
Because of you, New Ground continued to break the cycle of homelessness through our comprehensive social work services. We helped parents return to school or secure better-paying careers. We supported Veterans as they worked to rebuild their lives, and ensured families had access to essentials. Your generosity made it possible for us to respond when families needed us most, whether through housing, financial literacy, holiday support, or crisis intervention. For more information about your impact, please keep reading below.
None of this could happen without our community. Your belief in our mission fuels every success story and every new beginning. On behalf of the Veterans and families we serve, thank you for standing with us, not just as donors, but as committed partners.
As we look ahead to the coming year, the need remains great. There are still families and Veterans on Long Island waiting for the chance to rebuild their lives. A year-end gift to New Ground ensures that we can continue expanding access to housing, strengthening support services, and creating pathways to long-term stability.
We hope during this special season of giving and family, you will consider making a year-end gift today. Your support at any level will have an immediate and lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.
Thank you for being part of the New Ground family. We wish you a Happy Holiday Season and all the best for 2026!
Warmest regards,
