For the past several years, Coordinators Virginia Kerr and Jane Scott have led our People & Stories program at FCI Fairton, a medium-security federal prison for men located in Fairton, New Jersey. Their dedication has helped the program grow, and this fall, 15 men have signed up, with 10 more on the waiting list.

This week, FCI Fairton’s Supervisor of Education, Christopher Snyder, emailed to say that our “program is getting wings!” He also shared exciting news: participants who complete the eight-week series will now earn 12 Adult Continuing Education (ACE) credits. Having our program recognized in this way within the federal prison system is a major milestone for People & Stories.

We’re grateful to Christopher Snyder for his support, and especially to Jane and Virginia for the care and enthusiasm they bring to every session.

We look forward to continuing this work and welcome gifts designated for our programs in correctional and re-entry facilities.
