Banquet Award Winners

RSC and Lightning directors, staff, coaches, managers, and sponsors gathered to celebrate another successful year at our 2024 Annual Meeting & Holiday Banquet. President's Award winner Mike Dubeck was recognized for his dedication to the club and for embodying the spirit of the league. Other honorees recognized at the banquet were:

Mike Vito - Dale Propson Award for Excellence in Recreational Coaching

Ted & Stan Pilchowski -RSC Lawn Maintenance Crew (retiring)

Donny Koontz - Employee Tenure Award (15 years of service)

Enes Sunje - Employee Tenure Award (10 years of service)

Congratulations to MSYSA Hall of Fame Inductee Goran Kljaic!

Congratulations to Goran Kljaic, our MI Stars Lightning Director of Coaching for his well-deserved induction into the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association 2025 Hall of Fame! Goran has proudly served in several leadership roles for Rochester Soccer Club and Michigan Stars Lightning since 2007. Congratulations, Goran, on this prestigious recognition!

Diane Goethals Memorial Scholarship

Applications for the Diane Goethals Memorial Scholarship are being accepted through the Community Foundation of Greater Rochester. Seniors who have been a presence with RSC or Lightning as a player, volunteer, coach, and/or referee are encouraged to apply by January 22.

Winter programs start January 5

SCC Tryouts - Next week!

Summer Champions Cup tryouts are next week, December 16 and 18 at the Oakland University Dome. Get competitive matches in during the summer without the burden of traveling. SCC is for boys & girls, 2015-2010, regardless of club affiliation and will run June 9-July 24. Click for more details.

Our 2009 Lightning Girls got in the holiday spirit last weekend by volunteering to wrap gifts for Friends of Foster Kids. Thank you, girls, for helping make the season brighter for our community!
