RE-FORMING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, WITH THE EARTH, & WITH EACH OTHER
Peace to you,

The Christmas season has come and gone, and we are now joined in the Village by 17 January term students from St. Olaf College. This past month has been filled with cross-country skiing, candlelit Vespers, Village-wide volleyball games in the chilly Village Center, and enjoying delicious meals and conversation together in the Dining Hall.

We hope you enjoy these stories and images from the past month at Holden!
COMMUNITY LIFE THROUGH THE EYES OF THE STUDENTS
The Holden School teachers interviewed the Holden School students, asking them to speak about their experience living in our remote wilderness community.
VILLAGE LIFE
CHRISTMAS AT HOLDEN
Guests filled the Village over the Christmas holiday, enjoying delicious feasts prepared by the kitchen, beautiful music-filled Vespers and Eucharist services in Fireside, and hours of sledding down Chalet Hill!
VILLAGE LIFE
JANUARY TERM STUDENTS ARRIVE
Students from St. Olaf College arrived in the Village for January term! Throughout this month, the class of seventeen will be participating in their course Living Faith: Theology and Practice at Holden Village while exploring the area around Holden and experiencing community living. We're glad you're here!
DOWNLAKE
GREETINGS FROM THE DOWNLAKE STAFF!
In an effort to answer questions about the Holden B&B and its history accurately and completely, we are seeking the assistance of the Holden network. Do you have photos, stories that could jotted down and sent via mail or email, or any documentation of downlake events or activities? Our current Downlake Lead is very interested in compiling a brief history of Holden's downlake presence. Thanks for any help you can give to this project! Questions and correspondence can be sent to:

KOINONIA
SUPPORT HOLDEN VILLAGE THROUGH 2019
Last year, Holden Village was again filled with the spirit that has carried this place apart for decades. Music, laughter, and community filled the Village, as well as thought-provoking conversations led by renowned teaching faculty from around the world. Hundreds of guests came to experience the rhythms of the Village each week. It is our hope that Holden Village may continue as a place for civil conversation, for learning to listen deeply to one another, and for finding hope in a fearful world. Registration fees do not fully cover the cost of maintaining a Village community of learning, worship, hospitality, and celebration. Your gift will set us on firm financial footing for next summer’s programming and beyond and  help ensure that our rhythms remain for generations to come!
