We continue counting down to Orientation Weekend with our weekly Insider updates. This week is all about how your student can make the most of campus life at Adelphi by getting involved in our plentiful student organizations, service opportunities, leadership roles, and wellness programs. There’s something for every Panther to explore!

Yesterday, your student received information about:

Getting involved at Adelphi looks different for each student. Our Center for Student and Community Engagement is excited to help your student discover all of these possibilities:

Lead: through student government or even writing for the Delphian.
Mentor: as a Peer Assistant Leader, Resident Assistant or Commuter Assistant.
Volunteer: to tend our community garden, help our Panther Pantry, Relay For Life and more.
Go Greek: in one of our recognized Greek councils dedicated to leadership and service.
Play and get fit: through Club Sports, Intramural Sports and Campus Rec.
Practice their faith: with our Interfaith Center and numerous faith-based student clubs.
And more: through our many student clubs for academics, culture, social action, and special interests, or connecting with others at our Multicultural Center or even starting a new club.

❔ THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

This information is helpful for our parents and family members:

Essentials like course materials, dining plans, and insurance are automatically included in your student’s tuition. Learn the benefits of each and how to opt out if you choose.
Follow our calendar of events for all the academic, athletic, cultural and social things to do at Adelphi.
To cheer on the Panthers, look for upcoming games, matches, and events.
Our student meal plans provide flexibility, cost savings and meet all tastes and dietary needs.
Learn about Dine+Connect for commuter students. Students may opt out until September 8, 2025.
First-year resident students are required to be on one of three meal plan options; by default they will be assigned the Scholar Plan. Students may modify their selection until September 8, 2025.

📆 IMPORTANT DATES

July 21: Fall 2025 tuition is due unless a monthly payment plan is in place.
August 21: First-Year Resident Student Move-In
August 22-24: Orientation Weekend (including for parents and families on Friday)
August 24: Matriculation Ceremony for new students only
August 25: First Day of Classes
August 25: Health and Immunization Forms Due to Health Services
September 8: Final add/drop/change/withdraw day for Fall 2025 (+ opt-out programs deadline)
October 1: Health Insurance Waiver Period Ends.
