Happy MLK Day!
It was the great Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. who said, “Not everybody can be famous but everybody can be great, because greatness is determined by service.”
For most of us, today is a day OFF of our normal work schedule, but for ALL of us, it can be a day ON for volunteer service.
Volunteerism can come in many forms: in-person, online, hands-on, or indirect. And it doesn't have to be a lifelong commitment, so long as it's a sincere one.

This year, the office of Ward F is implementing a new task force: THE WARD F LAND USE COMMITTEE.
Jersey City Land Use Meetings are where many important decisions are made that greatly affect Jersey City residents. They follow votes on Planning, Zoning, and Historic Preservation and take place once or twice a month, on weekday evenings. Currently, these meetings are held online -- via Zoom -- and they are the only ways the public can honestly learn about up and coming developments in our community, as they get approved. Community engagement at these meetings can sometimes make or break new developments. Which is why in 2023, we want to have a solid LAND USE VOLUNTEER COMITTEE for Ward F.
The office of Ward F is also accepting volunteers for the following categories:
- Community Clean Ups
- Content Creation
- Data Collection
- Data Entry
- Event Planning
- Flyer Distribution
- Phone Banking
- Social Media Engagement
