MNC Housing and Homeless Prevention Services launched an invigorating outreach initiative. Each MNC campus plays a role in building new relationships, identifying outreach opportunities, and restocking supplies across four pivotal locations: Inner Richmond, Mission Street and surrounding areas, Valencia Street, the Bayview and Evans neighborhoods. The response at homes, plazas, city colleges, storage facilities, and various offices have been positive.

Our outreach efforts are ongoing; they represent a monthly commitment to engage with diverse groups, complemented by our active involvement in community events. A big thank you to the MNC-Housing and Homelessness Prevention Team for their incredible efforts in ensuring that people have a place to call home!

We started Women to the Front! (Mujeres al frente MUF). The goals of “Mujeres al frente MUF” are to empower women, share resources, build community, and inspire them to see themselves as capable of achieving goals, and strengthening their confidence by drawing on their own inner resources.

In the fourth session, we addressed violence against women, a sensitive issue. The participants in our safe space shared experiences and felt good knowing and identifying the types of violence experienced in their stories.

In the sixth session, the theme was Economic Empowerment of Women, which is essential to achieve gender equality, eradicate poverty and achieve inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
