Kauai Board of REALTORS ® Monthly
JULY 2020 CALL TO ACTION & PREPARING TO RE-OPEN
July 3, 2020
LETTER FROM KBR EXECUTIVE OFFICER, Karen Ono:
Happy 4th of July REALTORS® and Members:

As our island continues to reopen, the real estate industry here on Kauai remains in a most respectful mode. Agents continue to present properties in compliance with the CDC Guidelines by wearing masks, practicing social distancing and arriving in separate cars. Digital technology has made a quick and lasting impact on the way we practice real estate and how Broker Caravans are held. Two virtual caravans were held with attendance surpassing the traditional caravans of 30-50 attendees, meaning that KBR will continue to consider electronic caravans as a viable tool.

Hawaii Information Service has been tracking the year over year differential for BOM, A and W properties. June provided the first month of the year where these YOY indicators were close to parity.

LETTER FROM KBR PRESIDENT, Julian A. Coiner:

Aloha and Happy 4th of July Kauai Board of REALTORS® Membership,

Great news!!! On June 24th, the Governor announced that Hawaii will implement a pre-travel testing option for travelers and returning residents to Hawaii as an alternative to the 14-day travel quarantine.

Starting August 1, 2020 out of state travelers seeking to enter Hawaii free of quarantine restrictions have options. Visitors and returning residents must first complete the state’s pre-boarding form and obtain a negative Covid-19 test result via an FDA approved PCR test from a CLIA-certified laboratory within 72 hours or less of the visitor’s arrival in the state. The quarantine will remain mandatory for those who do not have a pre-travel test. Other measures may be put in place at the airports and travelers are advised to refer to the link herein for up to date information from the state.
