Another year of Camp SOAR is in the books! Over two weeks, Camp SOAR welcomed 88 campers supported by 107 volunteer counselors, leaders, and staff. When the leaders gathered to reflect on the essence of Camp SOAR, the word HAPPY was most used to describe the experience. We think you'll agree from the 2023 pictures that Camp SOAR is truly the happiest place on earth for campers and counselors.
Some of the highlights from Camp SOAR 2023 include:

Counselor training led by Kevin Sullivan, disability rights activist and motivational speaker who spoke to volunteers about how to be better caregivers;

A new foam machine that added to the fun of the slip and slide;

New activities and entertainment such as a petting zoo, all camp dance alongs, and a Kindness Show by Miss Make Believe; and
-
Hundreds of new friendships and memories!
EVERY camper's experience is supported by donations, grants, and volunteer hours to make camp affordable. Thank you to our generous donors who make this happy place possible for youth with developmental disabilities. Camp SOAR planning and fundraising continues year round, so it's not too late to give to this amazing experience!
