Hey FCA! April Highlights!

  • At San Clemente HS, we had freshmen football coach at SCHS Jamie Smith speak on how God is always with us no matter what phase of life we are in. It was such a blessing to see coach bring his players to our huddle to see so many new faces, as we had 110 kids in attendance and gave out 2 Bibles, praise God!!
  • At Laguna Hills HS, we had youth pastor from Mission Viejo Christian Church Zach Fox speak on how God truly knows our identity and how the world does not. We had 80 kids in attendance and gave out 6 Bibles, praise God!! Zach had kids stand up to show the room who were believers and had kids stand up to make a profession of faith in Jesus!
  • At Capistrano Valley HS, we got kicked out of our original meeting space for our huddle as I arrived to campus and spread last minute and fast texts to my students to get quick last minute words out. With all that, we had 65 kids show up and gave out 3 Bibles, God is so good and praise Him!
  • A couple months ago, I began coaching frosh baseball at San Clemente HS and have cultivated some great relationships with the boys. Through this I am hoping to start a baseball Bible study soon with them!

April Athlete Highlight

Dante Youngman

FCA Club President @ Laguna Hills High School

Here's what Dante had to say about how FCA has changed his life!

  • As an athlete, how has FCA impacted your life on all levels?

"As an athlete, FCA has always been at the forefront of my mind. Being in FCA has strengthened my relationship with God and has helped me to grow as a Christian and leader. Over my high school career, FCA has shown me how I should seek my identity through Christ and not in what I do such as sports. It has taught me to put my faith in God and ultimately know that what I do is for Him and through Him, not for myself but for the glory of God."

  • Being involved with FCA, how has FCA impacted your time in high school?

"I would say FCA has dramatically impacted my high school career, it has allowed me to come out of my comfort zone and not only grow as a student, but as a follower of God. FCA has allowed me to find positive things throughout my school and truly connect with and inspire those around me. This club has encouraged me to seek out others similarly Christ minded and those who need support through their walk with God. I have seen FCA change many lives and I'm forever grateful that God has lead me to be a part of it."
