Program Updates

Last chance to register for a collective garden! 3/15 deadline

Curious about what growing in a collective looks like in practice? Because we are able to access a larger space as a collective, we are able to grow at a highly productive market garden scale and use season extending & regenerative practices such as row covers, hoops houses, tarping, tilthing, companion planting, mulching, trellising, cover cropping and more.

By joining a collective garden, you are able to practice all these exciting new and old methods of growing food that are easier done at the market garden scale.

Come learn how to garden in community and click here to register. Note: Seedsong is Full but spots are still available for Starr Collective located in the new north end.

This Month in the Garden

Celebrating Onions in the Onion City!

"In onion is strength; and a garden without it lacks flavour. The onion, in its satin wrappings, is among the most beautiful of vegetables; and it is the only one that represents the essence of things. It can almost be said to have a soul."

– Charles Dudley Warner

Learn more about the different varieties of onions from Fruition Seeds' handy overview,

and

get all your onion questions answered by our garden staff, taste some onion & leek soup, make onion block print art, and seed some onions with us in our new Greenhouse during our grand opening on March 22.
