WARBIRD ROUNDUP THIS WEEKEND!

Warbird Roundup in Nampa August 29-30, 2026

This weekend, Nampa’s skies will be filled with patriotism and history. The 24th annual Warbird Roundup lands at the Warhawk Air Museum August 29–30—Idaho’s biggest two-day gathering of living warbirds. More than 25 flying legends from across the country roar in: Mustangs, Warhawks, a P-38 Lightning, Bearcat, Texans, F-15 Strike Eagle (Saturday only), and more. There will also be a special guest speaker Kim "KC" Campbell. Get close on the ramp, feel the engines in your chest and watch them fly.

Gates open at 8 a.m. Flying starts around 10 a.m. Food trucks, a kid zone, vendors, and full museum access fill the day. Kids get in free with a paid adult. Parking is at the Ford Idaho Center with shuttles to the field (more info below).

Two days of aviation, history and unforgettable sights -- happening right here in Nampa. Don’t miss it! (Check out their schedule below/on website for more info - schedule is approximate and weather/warbird dependent!)

PLANNING OUR FUTURE TOGETHER

TAKE THE LATEST SURVEY ON FUTURE PLANNING IN NAMPA

(consider taking survey on desktop or tablet)

Comprehensive Plans are a critical planning tool that shapes how Nampa grows, develops and preserves what matters most. From land use and housing to transportation and parks, the Comprehensive Plan will serve as a roadmap for city leaders, developers, and residents to ensure a vibrant, resilient and inclusive future. Because it's so important, this is a three-year process.

Last year, Nampa's Planning & Zoning staff began the process by spending hundreds of hours through the summer and fall meeting with YOU - our community - at events, in public spaces, and in classrooms to discuss what you wanted Nampa to be 25 years from now.

We took that feedback to several focus groups and steering committee meetings and developed a series of objectives and strategies to implement your vision for the future.

Now it's your turn to make sure we're on the right track.

Please review the objectives and strategies shared in this survey and help us refine the plan with your feedback. We know your time is precious and that the community cares how we grow in the future. Thank you for being part of this important planning process.

Please feel free to visit our website: cityofnampa.us/2050 for more information, or you may email us at PZLR@cityofnampa.us.

KIVI segment on historic train that recently underwent improvements and highlights future plans

Thank you to Keith Burrell with Idaho News 6 (KIVI) for highlighting a restoration project on Nampa's historic train located in Lakeview Park.

"After standing still in Lakeview Park for nearly 70 years, restoration of Union Pacific Number 616 is beginning to move forward. The locomotive was built in 1907 and spent nearly 30 years working around Nampa before arriving at the park in 1958.

The Treasure Valley Historical Railroad Society ultimately hopes Number 616 can operate again, although that remains a long-term ambition requiring additional evaluations, resources and a new location with usable railroad track."
