A Message from Headmaster Scott

Dear Archway Trivium Families,

What better way to finish out the lengthy 3rd quarter of the year than with Field Day! Unfortunately, some of today’s field day did not take place on the field. Nevertheless, our scholars enjoyed a day filled with great activities thanks to some quick thinking and quicker action on the part of our PE teachers. Thank you to Coaches Kemling, Cerny and LaRochelle for leading a fabulous celebration of physical fitness and activity. I would also like to express gratitude to all the wonderful volunteers who made the day possible. From set up to take down and all those in between, especially the ones that got wet, the gift of your time and talents makes a huge difference in the lives of our scholars.

Tomorrow morning you will wake up to the first sunrise of spring break. It is a time of leisure. These breaks are often presented as opportunities to recharge so we can come back to our work refreshed. Indeed, they do serve that purpose. However, modern philosopher Josef Pieper would argue that we have it backwards. Instead we work to have mental, physical, and financial resources to do the things that matter most—the things that fill our souls. Hopefully our scholars are filling their souls daily, but having a break gives them an opportunity to do so in their own preferred way. They can apply their lessons in virtue to their own preferred setting. What a gift! Please use it well. I have no doubt that all 900 scholars will be back on campus in 11 days with plenty of energy, but I hope they also bring a story, a memory, or a friend that they did not have before. Have a great Spring Break!

Heartily Devoted,

Clay Scott

Headmaster

Take the Tax Credit!

WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are currently at 10% school participation for Tax Credit.

Meeting our Tax Credit goal is imperative for the success of our Field Trips and Extracurricular Programs.

If you have not done so yet, don’t miss your chance to CHOOSE how a portion of your AZ state tax dollars are spent! Re-direct them to Archway Trivium before you file your 2023 AZ state tax return, and when you file, just complete Form 322 so that you can get your $200 or $400 Tax Credit added to your refund (or used to off-set anything you might owe the state if your taxes were underpaid in 2023). It’s that simple!!!

Take the Tax Credit Today!

Tax Credit Competition

Announcing the Trivium Tax Credit Competition! Let's all race to gather the most tax credits for our school. This year we will be raffling off several prizes such as a Meta Quest 2 -128GB Gaming headset and Amazon gift cards to families who participate in the tax credit. Every additional tax credit your family refers to our school will be an additional entry in our raffle. Great thanks to Altered Combat who provided the Meta Quest 2 headset.

The Meta Quest 2 is a groundbreaking virtual reality headset that offers an immersive experience with 128GB of memory, capable of storing a vast library of games and apps. With its lightweight design, sharp display, and intuitive controls, it provides a seamless and comfortable VR experience for users of all ages. Its standalone operation, without the need for a PC or console, combined with a robust library of content ranging from gaming to educational apps, makes it a versatile choice for entertainment and learning. The Quest 2 is an accessible gateway into the world of virtual reality, offering endless possibilities for exploration and fun.

Good luck to all participants. March 20 will be our first raffle.

If you’ve already done your Tax Credit, then now is the time to ask all your AZ friends and family to do the same with their tax dollars! If we reach 50% participation, we will have mystery teachers and coaches in a dunk tank!

Re-enrollment for K-4th Grade Families Now Due

Re-Enrollment is now open for current K-4th grade families. It is done entirely online by using a computer/laptop and Chrome as your web browser. You will also need to upload an updated AZ Proof of Residency that matches the address and parent e-signing, as well as being current, if it is a bill.

Look for an email from Monday, March 4 with full details.

Late Pick-up Policy

We have been doing very well with our on-campus student pick-up and drop-off routines as of late. Every year, it takes a few weeks for us to settle into a routine so that the pickup runs smoothly. Now that pick-up times are running efficiently, we ask parents to ensure they arrive on time to pick up their students.

We will begin enforcing our Late Pick-up Policy on Tuesday, September 5. Please make sure you are arriving within 30 minutes of the end of school to pick up your scholar in order to avoid being charged a late pick-up fee. Parents arriving after this time will be required to sign out their child from the MPR and may be assessed a $2 per minute, per student late fee. All late pick-up fees will be added to your Configio account and are due upon receipt. For more information, please see page 46 of our Family Handbook.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - You will be charged from 3:35pm

Wednesday - You will be charged from 1:55pm

Half days - You will be charged from 12:25pm (excludes Half Day Kinder)

Communication Updates

Latest News image.png

School Messenger Communication

Great Hearts and Archway Trivium continue to utilize the system School Messenger for emails, robo-calls, and text messaging to inform families of campus related academy emergencies and other communications. SchoolMessenger has a new automatic opt-in for text feature. During the registration/re-enrollment process families confirmed their wish to participate in text communications. Great Hearts will now automatically opt in contact information given during the registration/re-enrollment process with the options you selected. You will notice at the beginning of July you will be opted in for text messaging. If you would like to opt out of text messages simply reply STOP to the text from 67585. You can also enter the code 67585 with the message STOP to block any text messaging. Please note, if opting out, you will not receive texts regarding emergencies on campus.

Email Communications

If you know of parents who are not receiving these communications, please ask them to check their junk/promotions email folders, and then email bmcdonald@archwaytrivium.org for assistance.

You can also find ALL school-wide communications on our website on the Latest News page.
