Bodyweight Arms + Abs Circuit
Aim for 2-3 total sets, keeping in mind good form:
- Side Plank Leg Lift Rotation to Forearm (10 reps per side)
From a traditional side plank position, rotate your torso toward the ground to balance on one forearm and plank on the alternate side. This exercise will test your balance and by pressing up onto your hand (instead of just going forearm to forearm) you’ll sneak in some extra chest, tricep & shoulder work.
- Down Dog To Plank Knee-In (10 reps per side)
From a down dog position push forward into a plank and bring one knee in to meet the same elbow. Move back to down dog position and repeat forward plank knee-in on opposite side.
- Donkey Kick to Breakdancer (10 reps total)
Keep your core engaged when your legs come off the floor. Don’t arch your back and stick your ribs out to do the kick. Remember to land softly.
- Feet Elevated Plank Walk-In to Pike (10 reps total)
Move into a plank position with feet elevated (use the stairs, a bench, etc.) Walk hands into a pike position and back to the plank position, repeating back and forth. Bend your knees slightly if needed for tight hamstrings.
