| | | | VBS Volunteer Registration | |
Vacation Bible School volunteer registration has begun!
This year's VBS is Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10 and our theme is 'Rainforest Falls.' Our goal is for every child who attends VBS to have a positive, meaningful experience that lasts a lifetime—and we can't do that without YOU!
It doesn't matter if you've never volunteered for VBS, or you're a seasoned VBS leader, your time and talents are needed. With enough volunteers, we hope to offer an AM service this year!
Volunteer today!

We have a great night of Flashlight Tag planned in February!
Flashlight Tag (4th & 5th Grade): Are your kids ready for a FUN FRIDAY to run around and burn off some extra energy? Kids Ministry invites our 4th and 5th-graders to join us on Friday, February 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for a night of playing Flashlight Tag. We’ll eat some pizza, play a few rounds of Flashlight Tag, and play other games.
Bring your flashlight and a friend to the Kids Worship Center! This event is FREE, but we need to know how many to expect. Please RSVP.

The Dream Center has requested our help in providing a basket full of household essentials for a needy family.
With spring just around the corner, we want to support disadvantaged families by providing some fun Easter goodies and cleaning supplies! This is an excellent service opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to donate an Easter basket.

We are the church.
Your time, prayers, talents, and generosity make ministry possible, and we’re deeply grateful. Twice a year, we pause to celebrate all that God is doing through our volunteers and preview what is on the horizon at WCC.
Let’s worship, celebrate, and look ahead to what’s coming…including Easter and all things summer!
Join us on Sunday, March 1, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM in the Worship Center. Childcare will be available for birth to age 9. Kids 10 and up are invited to join us in the Worship Center.
| | Please let us know if you need childcare. | | | | Men's Event: The Power of Our Story | |
Guys, join us on Sunday, March 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM for our next Men’s Event! There will be discussion, encouragement, and (of course!) food!
Outreach Minister Jay Scott will lead the evening, with guest speaker (and fellow WCC member) Josh Bowling. Josh is a great guy, and he’ll share his story with us.
Please RSVP so we have enough food for everyone!
Questions? Please contact Jay Scott.
| | | | Looking for a Sunday morning Bible Study? | |
Join Truth Seekers every Sunday at 9:00 AM in Room 135.
We are a new group dedicated to seeking truth through the study of God’s Word, and everyone is welcome.
Beginning in March, we will be studying the life of Paul—his calling, ministry, and faith journey. We’d love for you to join us!
Questions? Please contact Jim Bradbury.
| | | | Women's Bible Study: Reading Through Proverbs | |
Have you ever closed your Bible and thought, “What did I just read?”
This spring, we are offering a new 11-day program that will provide more insight each day as you read through Proverbs. Tara-Leigh Cobble, founder of The Bible Recap reading plan on The Bible App, will share an in-depth explanation of what you read and how it fits into God’s story.
You can participate from the comfort of your own home on your own schedule! We will read Proverbs individually, but we will also have the opportunity to stay connected and encourage one another through a “Talk It Over” comment box within your group on The Bible app.
| | Join us for our 11-day study beginning Monday, March 16! | | | | |
Our next Blood Drive is Monday, March 9, from Noon to 6:00 PM in the Youth Center.
Due to the severe winter weather, blood supplies are at an all-time low. If you are eligible to donate, please make an appointment today! Your donation of a single pint of blood could save up to THREE lives.
Help save a life -- make your appointment today!

| | | | GriefShare begins March 8 | |
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel on a daily basis.
GriefShare is a ministry designed to help you through this hurt. Join us from Sunday, March 8 to June 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in rm. 137.
Worthington Christian Church is offering a 14-week GriefShare support group that meets on Sunday evenings. We are composed of a group of friendly, caring people who will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences.
| | | | Volunteers Needed: Worthington Christian Village | |
The Worthington Christian Village is currently seeking volunteer(s) to deliver our Daily Packets on Wednesday mornings.
Deliveries are made to the 6th and 7th floors and typically take about an hour—unless, of course, a bit of extra chatting is desired! Many volunteers enjoy spending additional time visiting with residents, and this role offers a wonderful opportunity to get to know those living on the Assisted Living (6th floor) and Healthcare (7th floor) floors.
| | |
NOTE: Consider bringing a friend and inviting them to join the team. Together, we are all a part of Kingdom Impact! While we understand that schedule changes can happen, consistency is especially appreciated in this role.
Questions? Please contact Rene Lanam.
| | | | Worthington Resource Pantry | |
We have partnered with the Worthington Resource Pantry since 2020 by collecting non-perishable food donations, toiletries, and various supplies as needed. If you can donate, please check the list below for current pantry needs:
- Peanut Butter
- Cereal
- Tuna
- Spaghetti
- Hand Soap
- Diapers (4 & up)
- Pads
NOTE: The WRP also accepts donations of dog and cat food.
| | |
Remember, you can drop off your donations at any time! A blue donation bin is available at each of the church's entrances, and we regularly empty the bins to make room for additional items.
A NOTE OF THANKS: The Worthington Resource Pantry has shared that they are blown away by the consistent and overwhelming generosity of WCC. Not just in terms of quantity, but quality! They asked for an increase in donations around Thanksgiving, and we responded. Two months later, we're still responding.
Your generosity has been noticed and appreciated. Thank you!!
