| | NEW START & DISMISSAL TIMES | | Starting this school year, classes will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and dismissal will be at 2:45 p.m. | |
- 9th grade and incoming new students report to school on Tuesday, September 2nd.
- 10th-12th grade students report to school on Wednesday, September 3rd.
| | Beginning this fall, all students in grades 9 through 12 will be required to use Chromebooks issued by Badger High School. Personal devices will not be permitted for daily use at school - this includes laptops, tablets, or other technology brought from home. | | AFTER-SCHOOL EXPECTATIONS | | |
Students are expected to leave the school premises immediately after dismissal at 2:45 p.m. Students may remain on school grounds only if they are participating in an extracurricular activity, receiving academic assistance, or involved in a sport. If a student is released early from their activity, they must wait in the Union until their ride arrives or the late bus departs. Students may NOT roam around the school at any time.
Buses will run Monday through Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. On Fridays, one bus will run at 5:45 p.m. Students must have a pass from a teacher or coach to ride the late buses.
| | Badger does not have a “school supply list.” Students are asked to bring in basic supplies: pens, pencils, paper, folders. Each individual teacher will let them know what specific items will be required. | | |
Students must present a student ID card or download their digital ID on the Minga app to make purchases. To deposit money into your child’s meal account, parents may send a check to school or pay through RevTrak. Lunch money checks should be placed in the deposit box in the main office by 10:00 a.m. Meal account payments CANNOT be combined with other student fees. Please check student account balances on PowerSchool often and deposit money when needed. You can visit our school website www.lakegenevaschools.com under the Lake Geneva School’s lunch page for more information.
IMPORTANT:
We strongly encourage parents to fill out a free and reduced meal application. The free and reduced percentage for our district is used to qualify our schools for many beneficial programs and grants. Also, there could be additional EBT benefits for families that would be dependent on free and reduced eligibility. Forms will be available at all school offices as well as during the online e-registration process. Please only fill out one free and reduced application per family.

Each year, significant effort goes into creating a master schedule that balances graduation requirements with student course requests. Badger High School offers a diverse selection of both required and elective courses, giving students ample opportunities to tailor their education to their goals. Students and parents are given two weeks to review the course guide and carefully select classes that align with their academic path and graduation requirements. Faculty assignments, room allocations, and course sections are determined based on these selections. As a result, schedule changes are not always possible due to conflicts, course availability, and class size limitations.
Schedule change requests will be considered for the following reasons and only honored if there is space available:
- Course needed to meet graduation requirement
- Student approved for Start College Now, Early College Credit, or Career Connect
- An individual educational plan (IEP) or 504 plan accommodation
- Recovery credit needed for graduation
- Student does not meet course prerequisite
Students’ schedules will NOT be changed due to:
- Change of mind or in future career path
- Failing or low grade in year long class
- Teacher Preference
- Being in class with a friend
- Lunch period preference
- A job or athletics commitment
Semester two schedule changes if needed, will only occur one week prior to the start of the semester
