What is Workplace Harassment?

With Caitlin Meredith & Cabral Bonner

Thursday, Sept 26, 5:30-7:30pm PDT

Live Interactive Workshop on Zoom

At work, do you encounter situations that seem a lot like harassment or discrimination, but you aren’t sure if the conduct was just improper or actually a violation of workplace laws? You’re not alone. It’s hard to know how, or if, you should move forward.

Caitlin’s and Cabral’s workshop will explain what qualifies as harassment, discrimination, and retaliation in the workplace versus what is just annoying, rude, or disrespectful behavior.

Through a combination of short lectures, group discussions, case studies and role play activities, you’ll learn how to answer these questions that workplace mediators need to know.

  • What are the options for an employee who has been subject to legally defined harassment or discrimination?
  • What qualifies as a whistleblower action?
  • What is the role of law in each of these cases?
  • Which scenarios are appropriate for mediation?
  • What questions should you ask as the mediator to get the information you need to move forward?
