A message in regards to restoring our church windows
Dear St. Paul's Family,
As most of you probably know, we had the large window over the Narthex restored in 2022. It’s lovely. The remainder of the windows need the same work. They are not just dirty and obscured by the Plexi glass that covers them on the outside: they are beginning to buckle a little at the bottom from the weight of the glass. Soos Stain Glass in Little Rock has agreed to restore the windows in the Sanctuary and in the Sacristy for the price it gave us in 2022: $59,000. We have a little over $20,000 already donated to a budget line exclusively designated for this restoration. Later in the Fall you will be getting a letter asking for your help. We know it is stewardship season, and therefore the best season for us to rethink about taking care of our windows as well to glorify God's name.
If you have any ideas, questions, or concerns, please contact Rev. Carolyne, Nikki Bittle, Jon Perkins, and Virginia Wray.
Again, thank you all for your continued support of St. Paul's church.
Yours in Christ,
Carolyne+
Rector, St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.

What is the Curacy Program of the Diocese of Arkansas?
The Arkansas Curacy Program is a signature program of Bishop Harmon. It is a direct way to fill empty or limited clergy presence across our diocese.
Why does the Diocese of Arkansas need a broadly supported Curacy Program?
The numbers tell the story! The Congregational Statistics as of September 1, 2026, report that a majority (57.41%) of Arkansas churches and missions have either part-time clergy (15 churches) or are served by supply clergy (16 churches).
What resources are available to address this situation?
There is a burgeoning human resource. The current number of individuals in the ordination process for the Diocese of Arkansas is twenty-seven. Six of those are transitional deacons, meaning they will be ordained as priests in February 2027. The other twenty-one are in formation for ordination. Those include three vocational deacon postulants and candidates.
How can we support the Curacy Program?
First, attend the Jubilee Lights October 2, 2026, event at the Graduate hotel in Fayetteville from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. The purpose of the event is to dine with Bishop Harmon as he explains his passion for the Program.
Second, provide financial support in either or both of the following ways:
- Order Jubilee Lights tickets to attend the event and/or donate to the Curacy Program using the QR Code on the attached brochure.
- Donate Silent Auction items in the form of goods, services, trips, dinners, etc.
Please email a photo and description of your donated item along with its value and the opening bid to Wanda Dunwoody wandadunwoody@gmail.com
At the end of 2026 the diocesan office will send tax credit details for your charitable gift.
