COVID-19 Vaccination Sites
If you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine (65+ years of age), we have compiled a list of healthcare providers that are offering appointment times as they become available. While the demand continues to exceed the supply, appointments are still limited- keep trying and remain patient. We are hopeful the process will continue to improve and we will continue to share information as we receive it.

Broward County Library Launches Free Outdoor Family Storytime Experience

Family storytimes have a surprising new venue: a self-guided, outdoor walking tour around a pond referred to as the “Tale Trail” at Broward County Library’s Sunrise Dan Pearl Branch (10500 W Oakland Park Boulevard, Sunrise, FL 33351).

The outdoor story experience travels around the pond next to the library, providing families with a socially-distanced, interactive literary experience for children. Each page of the story is posted on a panel along with learning prompts. Free take-home activity packets with a craft project and educational worksheets, also inspired by the featured story, are available for pick-up inside the library.

Chip-a-Tree Program Continues through January 18, 2021

Still have that Christmas tree? Need to dispose of it? Broward County Parks' Chip-a-Tree Program is the perfect way to dispose of it in an environmentally friendly way and keep it out of our landfills. Trees will be turned into mulch and used across the park system. Trees, with all decorations removed, may be dropped off at one of 13 participating park locations no later than January 18, 2021.
