Hi there,
I hope you are having a good February, as we are all watching the weather closely and helping everywhere we can to those affected by the floods.
As you will find when you come to the Mississippi Farmers Market, we now have farmers on both the north and south ends of the Market. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful building, and it’s a privilege to utilize it, too, as a Farmers Market. New farmers are coming in March and April, so be sure to notice the large galvanized sign hanging in the middle of the foyer that will point you to the location of certain farmers and processors.
I will not be at the Market this Saturday, but instead, I will be on the final sessions of a 3-day conference where I’ll be participating in classes on vegetable production, agritourism, marketing, beekeeping, organic production, flower production, market managing, and so much more! There are off-site tours, as well, to Stoney Creek Farms, Delvin Farms, Arrington Vineyard, and Hatcher Dairy Farm. Just to have 3 days to delve in deep and learn from other farmers will be so beneficial, and, to be honest, I can’t wait to ask questions and learn!
I will miss seeing many of you, but Jenna Fullington and Britton Walker will be there to assist you and help in any way they can.
Growing in Gratitude,
Lisa
