CELEBRATE ALL SAINTS' SUNDAY THIS SUNDAY!
| | | | In just a few short days, it’ll be November 1st. The beautiful fall colors are beginning to fade, replaced instead by the crisp, cool air that reminds us winter isn't far behind. With that comes a day that some of you dread—and others love—fall back! Yes, that’s right. This Sunday, we turn our clocks back one hour, giving us a bit more sunlight in the morning and a little less in the evening.. | | |
Of course, I wouldn’t be a pastor if I didn’t find a theological connection with “Fall Back”. As we enter this new season, is there anything in your spiritual life that you need to “fall back” into? Perhaps it’s joining a Sunday morning class. Maybe it’s getting back into the groove of prayer or reading Scripture. Is there something in your spiritual life that you've slowly drifted away from? Something that once brought you closer to God, but somewhere along the way got pushed aside?
The beautiful thing about God's grace is that it's never too late to begin again. No matter how much time has passed, God's invitation to grow closer remains open. So this Sunday, as you turn your clocks back an hour, perhaps it's an opportunity to return to something you've been missing.
After all, sometimes moving forward in our faith begins by returning to what matters most.

You are invited to join Pastor Nick for a cup of coffee and a time to talk about church, life, family, faith, sports, the weather—or absolutely nothing important at all.

OCTOBER MISSION OF THE MONTH
Active Faith Community Services began in 1987 when a group of local churches came together with a shared mission: to help local families struggling to meet basic needs such as food and clothing.
What began as a small, grassroots effort has grown over the years into a comprehensive community resource serving individuals and families throughout the South Lyon Community School District. While food and clothing remain at the heart of our work, Active Faith also provides case management and other resources designed to offer temporary relief during difficult times while helping families regain stability and move forward.
For nearly 40 years, Active Faith has been a place where neighbors help neighbors—providing not only practical assistance, but also compassion, dignity, and hope when it is needed most.
