Happening This Week

Healings of Jesus: A Place to Begin

This Sunday for worship, we will NOT be gathering in person due to the projected major snowstorm that we expect to experience over the weekend. Please plan to worship online with us by viewing the video below that will be available in advance of Sunday morning. This service will be somewhat unique as a result of Pastor Joel's illness this week that kept him from being able to prepare and offer a message.

Perhaps appropriately, the focus of this service will be the healing ministry of Jesus, highlighting that his public ministry began with a series of healings which were followed by many more along his journey. We will encounter several scripture readings and be invited to reflect on them. Next month, we will study these episodes more closely and further consider what they have to show us. Thank you to all who are serving us in worship this week. This is a challenging time, and we are grateful to be able to offer a time of worship online. Stay safe and warm, and know that God dwells with us in love.

Over these next few months, please keep Traci, Interim District Executive Georgia Markey, and Administrative Assistant, Linette Quinn in your prayers. May the Lord Jesus Christ be with our District during this important time of transition.

You may purchase the cards in amounts of $100, $50, $25, or $10. The cards make great gifts, especially at holidays. Consider donating cards to the Food Pantry or using them yourself any time you shop at Giant or Weis.

Since 2011, through the Cash for Causes program, the church has received 5% of sales to support various COB and local ministries. In 2024 the gift card sales supported The Lehman Center, New Community Project and the Carlisle Truck Stop Ministry with each receiving $233.08. For 2025, the Witness Team will review past giving and determine which agencies we will support this year.
