Dear Business Affairs team,
As we celebrate last night's hard-earned victory and take pride in the men's basketball team winning the NCAA National Championship, I want to take a moment to thank all of you who played a vital role—not just last night, but throughout the entire season.
Last night, the O'Connell Center hosted the largest watch party in recent history, ensuring our community and visitors had an unforgettable experience. Whether it is athletic events, concerts or one of the other hundreds of events they host each year, their dedication to excellence shines through.
Of course, they don't do it alone. Our teams in the University of Florida Police Department, Emergency Management, Transportation and Parking Services, Physical Security, Environmental Health & Safety, and our dining and bookstore retail operations were all critical to the success of the evening and the season.
We're also fortunate to have strong partners across campus and the community who help make events like these run smoothly—thank you to them as well.
As I watched the game last night, I felt such pride not only in our basketball team and coaches but also in our own teams and the tireless work they put in every day behind the scenes.
