Hello Rotarians,
This month, Rotary focuses on Community Economic Development, helping communities build the capacity, opportunities, and resources needed to create a more sustainable future.
Whether working locally or internationally, Rotary projects can support entrepreneurs, strengthen local economies, and reduce poverty through sustainable, community led solutions. When done well, these projects go beyond addressing an immediate need. They help communities build an economic foundation that can benefit generations to come.
But your club doesn’t have to do it alone.
The Rotary Action Group for Community Economic Development (RAGCED) connects clubs with volunteer experts who can provide valuable guidance in planning and implementing successful economic development projects. It’s an outstanding Rotary resource that many clubs may not realize is available.
Before your club begins a Community Economic Development project, take advantage of this resource. Visit RAGCED to learn how they can help turn your club’s ideas into lasting impact.
You can also visit Rotary’s Service Project Center through your My Rotary account at www.rotary.org or explore recent issues of Rotary magazine for examples of Community Economic Development projects making a difference around the world.
Thank you again for all you do for your club, community, and Rotary, and for investing in the communities of tomorrow.
Yours in Rotary Service,
Bo Norton District Governor
