FAITH OVERCOMES FEAR

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of a sound mind.”

If God didn’t give us fear, then the source of fear must be Satan. 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no feAr in love; [agape - God’s love] but perfect love [agape] casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”

Satan controls people with fear. He uses the “what ifs” and if we think upon those thoughts long enough, we become so fearful that we cannot function.

We must live by faith. How do we get faith? Romans 10:17 says, “So then faith [reliance upon God] cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

Faith means we rely upon God for everything. Our health, our finances, our family, our friends. Everything we do must be faith- filled. If not, then fear will try to creep in.

You must read the word of God; believe what it says; and then act upon that word as if you already have received it. Don’t speak doubt and fear over yourself. If you have, then repent, and start saying what God says about you. What does He say? Well, the best way to answer that is to read the word for yourself and see what He says.

Remember, “Fear knocked at the door. Faith answered. No one was there. This is the principle to live by. Faith overcomes fear.

Why I paint rocks, cards and earrings

Helen Sanders

The rocks, greeting cards, and earrings that I draw and paint have a Christian theme and are a way to encourage people. The scriptures say that if we don't praise God then the rocks will, so this is a way to bring praise to Jesus for all he's done.

Never let fear dominate the decisions you make. Faith believes without seeing. Let faith override fear and live free. God wants you to be fearless. Fear comes from listening to Satan. Faith comes by hearing God's word. Choose who you listen to.

Friday Scripture For Today

“After these things Jesus showed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and in this way He showed Himself: Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of His disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish.”

As I read this chapter I know it represents a miracle of Jesus. But to me it spoke of something else. Don’t give up. Keep casting your net. The fish represented people who still need Jesus. Just a thought!

Just know my friend that our faithful GOD is an ever present help and HE is always available in our lives. So join with me and let us give GOD some praise knowing that; As His DAUGHTER or as His SON we both were definitely NOT BUILT TO BREAK. Now let’s get up, get going; And keep the following words on your mind and in your spirit whether you are a DAUGHTER or a SON of GOD. After all HE loves and HE keeps watch over the BOTH of us; And that means HIS daughters and HIS sons. SO LET’S ALL START REJOICING AND BEING GLAD!!
